Instructions on how to use

To use for heat therapy – First, detach the ice pack from the strap. Fill a pan with enough hot water so that the ice pack can be fully submerged. Place ice pack in water. You should not use boiling water to heat the ice pack. Keep the ice pack submerged for at least 5-10 minutes or for however long it takes for the ice pack to reach the desired temperature. Do not leave the ice pack unintended when heating. When handling hot water always take care to avoid scalding.

To use for cold therapy – First, detach the ice pack from the strap. Place in a fridge for approximately 10-20 minutes or until the ice pack has reached the desired temperature. Do not freeze the gel ice pack so that it becomes hard as this can damage the gel and make wearing the ice pack wrap uncomfortable and ineffective.

Before use make sure that the temperature feels comfortable against your skin and is not too cold or too hot. Both extreme cold and hot temperatures can cause damage to your skin. Remove the ice pack immediately if you feel any pain or discomfort when wearing. Make sure that the ice pack has fully reached room temperature before reheating or cooling again.

When applying the ice pack do not apply directly to your skin. Make sure that you insert the ice pack inside the wrap properly before wearing. To clean the ice pack and wrap simply wipe carefully using a cloth that has been soaked in warm soapy water. Allow the ice pack and wrap to dry naturally. Do not use and discard the ice pack as soon as possible if it has any sign of damage or is leaking. This item is not recyclable but can be disposed of safely with your usual household rubbish. When storing the ice pack make sure that the ice pack has fully cooled down back to room temperature and dry. Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
